Sales Policy

Unborn Kids

If you are interested in reserving an unborn kid there is no need to put a deposit down.  All that is needed is for you to email me your request.  I will let you know if anyone has already been put on the waiting list.  All goats are sold on a first come first serve basis.  Once the doe starts "bagging up" I will email you and verify that you are still interested.  Once the kid/kids hit the ground I will let you know whether your choice (sex) is available.  If so, a 25% non-refundable deposit within 7 business days will be required to hold the kid or the next buyer in line will be offer the kid.  The balance is expected before the kid leaves the farm.  I prefer to keep the kids with their dams for at least 8 weeks.  Anything over 10 weeks and the kid must be paid in full and arrangements must be made for the pick-up.  It is the buyers responsibility for picking up their goat.  I reserve the right to not sell any goat for any reason I choose.  A full refund will be returned.

   Junior & Adults

A 25% non-refundable deposit is require to hold the goat you are interested in.  All goats are sold on a first come first serve basis.  Arrangements will then be made between buyer and seller for the balance to be paid by the day of pick-up.  It is the buyers responsibility to make arrangements for picking up their goat.  I reserve the right to not sell any goat for any reason I choose.  A full refund will be returned.

    Show Deliveries

I attend many of the NDGA sanction shows and would be glad to deliver goats for pick-up at the shows for no additional cost.  If there are extra costs such as a require health certificate to cross into a state that fee will be the buyers responsibility. Let me know what shows you might attend and it might be possible to add that show to the ones planned for that year.

General Information

Goats that come from Sawdust Trail Acres are my pets first and foremost and their needs comes first.  Every goat receives daily grain, minerals and fresh water.  They are all on a three month schedule for hoof trimming and deworming.  I make every attempt to make sure the kids are friendly.  The dams and kids are raised close to the house and are handled several times a day.  There are exceptions, sometimes a dam can be really adamant about crying for a kid to run.  But most of the time even a shy kid can be turned into a friendly goat.
